Don't Be Greedy

My child, listen when your father corrects you. Don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. What you learn from them will crown you with grace and be a chain of honor around your neck. My child, if sinners entice you, turn your back on them! They may say, “Come and join us. Let’s hide and kill someone! Just for fun, let’s ambush the innocent! Let’s swallow them alive, like the grave; let’s swallow them whole, like those who go down to the pit of death. Think of the great things we’ll get! We’ll fill our houses with all the stuff we take. Come, throw in your lot with us; we’ll all share the loot.” My child, don’t go along with them! Stay far away from their paths. They rush to commit evil deeds. They hurry to commit murder. If a bird sees a trap being set, it knows to stay away. But these people set an ambush for themselves; they are trying to get themselves killed. Such is the fate of all who are greedy for money; it robs them of life. Proverbs 1:8-19

So many people spend their lives trying to get rich while mis-using others to get there.  All to often, it's for the wrong reasons -- greed and power.  I mean, how much is enough?  Hundreds of Thousands?  Millions?  Billions?  How many autos can you own and drive?  How many houses can you own and live in?  How many rooms can you sleep and entertain in?  Four --Not enough?  Five? How about 12? 15?  All that wasted space to heat and cool...so much wasted energy...

America, it's time for us to SHARE the wealth.  How about we save a life by feeding the hungry?  Help a student pay for college?  Give shelter to the homeless who really need assistance. (You can't help folks who don't want to be helped)

If each one would reach one -- teach one -- then help one, we could help to reduce the gap on poverty in our world.  After all, nothing we've accumulated on earth goes with us to heaven so why live in hell trying to maintain it???  Those "things" remain here on this finite earth and will be passed on for someone else when you're gone OR fight over -- possibly be destroyed by the ignorance of not understanding wealth.  So what's the big deal in sharing because you can't take "it" with you?  My mama always said, " you don't lose anything by helping somebody"...

Purposely give something away then asses how much more you still have left over to enjoy.  C'mon...share the wealth...don't be greedy!!! Don't let greed rob YOU of your precious life. After all, we only have one life to live on this side of heaven so  -- why not make it a good one???

Word!
